The Pick n Pay Taste of Cape Town Festival

It is almost time for The Pick n Pay Taste of Cape Town Festival. I am super excited for this Festival so I’m glad it’s finally just around the corner 🙂

The 6th Annual Taste of Cape Town Festival will be on from the 11th – 14th April 2013 at the Greenpoint Cricket Club.

This year we will get to enjoy special menus from 12 of Cape Town’s best restaurants. Expect starter sized dishes as well as signature dishes from the featured chefs.
The 12 restaurants are:
The Brasserie
De Grendel
Il Leone
Jewel of India
La Colombe
The Pot Luck Club
The Boat House

We can also look forward to innovative and interactive programmes on cooking and eating including:

The Pick n Pay Fresh Living Chefs Theatre where we will be able to see the city’s top chefs in action.

The Pick n Pay Wine and Canapé Experience where we will get to learn how to create delish canapés while sipping on wine that is best suited to compliment all the different flavours.

Lindt Experience where the Chocolatiers behind the yummiest chocolate will be demonstrating their skills.

Taste Craft Beer Project where there will be a wide variety of SAs best quality craft beers on tap to taste and enjoy – each beer will be paired with different dishes from the featured restaurants.

Amazing Thailand where we can meet Thai Chefs who will be preparing amazing Thai dishes to taste. OOH… there is a lucky draw with a round trip for two to Thailand up for grabs 🙂 YES please!!!

Jägermeister – hmmmm this sounds dangerous – The JaegerTruck will be in full gear with ice cold shots or cocktails on offer.

Asara Bistro Box at Taste of Cape Town – this is where we got MARRIED so we are pretty excited right now 🙂 We will be able to sip on their wine while stuffing our faces with their gourmet burgers, macaroons and chocolates. Yep, that’ll go down quite nicely thanks 😉
