Beautiful Overberg memories.

Let’s talk about some of the gems surrounding our magical City. Let’s talk about some of the day trips we should be enjoying and some of the little getaway towns we should be exploring. Let’s talk about the Overberg and some of it’s beauty.

Over the years we have spent a lot of our time in the Overberg and have cemented some great solid memories from our experiences. It is with a happy heart and a huge smile that I look back at our time spent in these four little towns… Where life is chilled, locals are friendly and the food and views are spectacular.

Betty’s Bay – a weekend with friends. We braaied, played darts & bonded with Penguins. Whether it’s a day trip or a weekend away that you’re after, the views alone make the trip. And who can say no to a waddling little penguin or two?

Cape Agulhas – a lop weekend. A longer journey but so worth it. A visit to the Southernmost tip of Africa left us in awe. The rest of the weekend was spent climbing to the top of the lighthouse, eating good food, watching rugby, chatting to locals and enjoying the feeling of being on holiday.

Gaansbaai – weekends with friends. De Uijlenes has been our go to spot a few times over the years.  The perfect location for affordable and fun weekends away with all our friends. We have disco-ed, braaied, enjoyed sundowners on the boat and  fun foofy slide times.

Grabouw – a family weekend. Old Mac Daddy – A luxury trailer park experience with serious wow factor! A weekend of bees, jungles, delicious food and wine. An experience that everyone should enjoy.

That’s just a taster of Overberg memories and experiences and now I have itchy feet to explore some more 🙂 We will start this weekend in the picturesque Elgin!
